From March 16th to 17th, we successfully organized a first-aid training program in partnership with the Zhuhai Red Cross. We had two awesome sessions specially designed for our staff and students respectively, with professional emergency instructors from the Red Cross leading the sessions. The two-day training covered the following contents: (1) an introduction to the Red Cross Movement and new first-aid principles; (2) on-site hands-on CPR practices; and (3) the four essential trauma care techniques.
During the training, the instructors demonstrated and explained how to provide on-site first-aid in an emergency, including CPR for severely ill or injured people during the golden hour of rescue and trauma bandaging. The participants received hands-on training in CPR and bandaging techniques, and quickly mastered the proper processes. After completing the training, the participants will undertake an assessment to obtain a first-aid certificate.
The training achieved desirable outcome. Through the training, the participants obtained a deeper understanding of first aid knowledge, and benefited a great deal from the rich contents and hands-on practices.
For those who had missed the training this time, don’t worry, we have some great news for you: the second round of first-aid training is coming in April! If you are interested, you may follow our emails from Medical and Health Education Office's email for further details about the signup in mid-April. Please stay tuned!
